ITP Renewables

ITP Renewables is a global team of local energy experts. Whether it’s working with remote communities in developing nations, putting the solar panels on the roof of Parliament House, or designing large solar farms in rural Australia, they approach every project with a hyper-local, customer-focused mindset. Looking for a full-service creative partner, we provided brand strategy, visual identity, web, and collateral to help take ITP Renewables to the next level.
Starting with strategy and design, we delivered a visual identity that encapsulated our brand idea: solving for simplicity. Because they are engineers at heart who offer made-to-fit solutions, the brand is built around the octon: a slotted creative construction piece.
Reminiscent of a solar cell, the octon is used in a wide variety of ways to form grids, shape layouts, create patterns, construct the logo, inspire beautiful 3D renders—and even guide the business cards, which can be slotted together, symbolising how ITP Renewables connects people, companies, and communities.
Moving to web, that same sense of simplicity and expertise is carried through. Projects and thought leadership are presented in an elegant, nimble way, shifting in response to the user. Team culture is celebrated with fun hover states that give glimpses into peoples’ personalities.
In a nod to the strategy, there are little pockets of emotion scattered throughout the experience. For instance, in an interactive “play area,” octons reconstruct around your cursor, adapting to your movements.
On this project, there is a strong thread from our very first strategy discussions to the final designs of their business cards. At every touchpoint, the most salient aspects of the brand (simplicity, thinking big and small, trusted advice) all sing through.
It was a true pleasure to build a complete brand for people working hard to make the world a better place.
