Sea Harvest is a family owned Seafood Market based in Canberra’s Fyshwick & Belconnen Fresh Food Markets. For over 40 years they have dedicated themselves to bringing the finest and freshest Australian seafood to our nation’s capital, supplying a number of local restaurants & eateries.
The Sea Harvest story began in the 1800s on a small, picturesque fishing island called Lefkada in Greece. For generations since, their love of the sea and taste for seafood has endured, following them to Canberra where they settled in the 1970s.
We love nothing more than working with people who are passionate about what they do. So when Sea Harvest approached us about redesigning their brand identity and website, we revelled in all the possible ideas that began to circulate in our minds.
We took inspiration from where else but the sea; the waves, the creatures, the colours. It was imperative that the brand felt progressive and vibrant but still approachable. We arrived at an identity that is bold and modern, but often pairs with visual elements that are reminiscent of a simpler time. This blend of new and old feels familiar, yet still refreshing and new.
When it came time to express the brand in the digital space, we thought, ‘why can’t the website function like a newspaper?’ This opened the floodgates to all kinds of interesting ideas that help build upon the brand identity, whilst also keeping people engaged and entertained.
