A cosy little restaurant in Sydney’s south, ‘Meet The Greek’ has long been a supporter of fresh ideas to give their patrons a great experience. Opening in 2012, their awesome array of traditional Greek food and drink was complimented with an award winning brand and incredible interior design, and their regular schedule of live Greek music has kept it a fun and vibrant destination.

These aspects can be enjoyed at the restaurant, but for anyone browsing the net choosing their next place for a great feed, Meet The Greek needed a way to convey its charm and atmosphere. It was time for Meet The Greek to take their next creative leap.

We decided to take the name literally; users of the website were going to Meet ‘The Greek’.

Our solution was centred around the restaurant‘s emphasis on people and personal connections. We decided to take the name literally; users of the website were going to Meet ‘The Greek’. Our core concept was for there to be a male Greek character who lives in the website and whose actions correspond to the interactions of the user to instil a sense of connection.

We chose the medium of video to keep the character feeling as realistic and authentic as possible. The result is a memorable and humorous piece of communication which complements the ethos of Meet The Greek.
